Objective
The objective of Rummy 333 is to be the first player to meld all their cards into valid sets and sequences, with the goal of reaching a total of 333 points or more before the other players. Players aim to form melds consisting of at least three cards of the same rank (sets) or three or more cards of the same suit in sequential order (sequences).
Gameplay
At the beginning of each round, players are dealt 13 cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in the center of the table, forming the stock. The top card of the stock is turned face up, starting the discard pile.Players take turns drawing a card from either the stock or the discard pile and discarding one card from their hand to the discard pile. The game continues until one player successfully melds all their cards, reaching a total of 333 points or more. If no player reaches 333 points by the time the stock is exhausted, the player with the lowest score wins.
Scoring
In Rummy 333, each card has a specific point value:
- Aces are worth 20 points
- Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10 points
- All other cards are worth their face value
